Our Story
WineWeg
First of all, we are two friends, born in the same region, curious and passionate about all the diversities, affinities and relationships that, near or far, can contribute to enrich a new and broader vision of what we already know.
Wine Weg was founded in Germany, in the heart of modern Europe, where barriers and borders belong to the past, but in which the nuances that have enriched the history of traditional local cultures still coexist.
In that Rhine basin, which runs along an artery of development and trade that was so important for the evolution of so many nations that today are part of a single, synergetic economic and production system.
Our activities are mainly based on the revival of roots and old crafts, and we pay special attention to the Italian regional variety and its integration with valuable German techniques. We love to preserve the memory of old borders while having already crossed them; we wish to continue our journey into the traditions of the past, but with a freer and more open perspective. We pursue the traces of an ideal future that is perhaps ever closer and in which it is possible to build a synthesis of the facets of all other cultures.

We have also, courageously, decided to cross the boundaries of our customs, considering that any European location, holds and preserves treasures to be enjoyed in their characteristics and diversity. And, as good gourmets without a flag, we are so greedy and caring for good food that, in addition to the quality of the products, we place conviviality at the top of our list of values!
We love large tables, cheerfulness and the truest and most spontaneous socialising. We discovered with joy and surprise that the taste market is not just about sales, but first and foremost about knowledge. The mutual exchange between Italy and Germany is, in this perspective, only the beginning of a beautiful adventure in other directions.
We firmly believe that friendship between peoples is not only possible but that with the passage of time it can turn into growing curiosity and allow us to discover the innermost secrets of our neighbours.
Is it then true that savouring also allows one to get to know and explore one’s own diversity along with that of others? We are convinced of this and, through this constant curiosity, we finally try to put into practice what for years had seemed to us only an abstract philosophy of life.
